Sadly Indicative

Well, this is the top hit when I search "pope benedict xvi england" on YouTube:
It seems the creator(s) of the video didn't bother to read or listen to anything the Pope said, especially not this:
There is only one thing which lasts: the love of Jesus Christ personally for each one of you. Search for him, know him and love him, and he will set you free from slavery to the glittering but superficial existence frequently proposed by today’s society. Put aside what is worthless and learn of your own dignity as children of God. In today’s Gospel, Jesus asks us to pray for vocations: I pray that many of you will know and love Jesus Christ...--Pope Benedict XVI Glasgow 9/16/2010
As to Sunday/Saturday--Jesus was buried on a Friday, lay in the tomb all Saturday, and rose Sunday. The early Christians commenced the tradition of celebrating the Lord's Day of resurrection with the breaking of the bread as he had commanded them on this new day of creation, the day of the dawning of the Light of the World, which the darkness did not comprehend (see John 1).

As to the Swiss Guard, et. al--so King David had no armies? The high priests of the Temple had no Temple guard?

And about the Bible--if we had not compiled and preserved the Scriptures (see: Benedictine monasteries, monks, handcramp and Johannes Gutenberg=Catholic), the Protestants would not have them to try to use against us. Without us--dude, you have no Bible!

And Vicarius Filii Dei, as many Catholic high schoolers could tell you, means Vicar of the Son of God. As in this type of relationship:
In that day I will summon my servant, Eliakim son of Hilkiah. I will clothe him with your robe and fasten your sash around him and hand your authority over to him. He will be a father to those who live in Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. I will place on his shoulder the key to the house of David; what he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.--Isaiah 22:20-22
The Pope is the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of God, the chief of government for the Prince of Peace, Christ the King. He's never claimed to be God. He stands as a representative of God, in a unique role in Christianity but also in much the same way that all Christians are called to put on Christ.
