The Point of Prayer

Each video is part of a series, so if you like what you see here, go take a look at the other parts of the series.

Yes, Father Groeschel is a controversial figure these days, but this video is darn good.
Father Dubay has written a ton of incredibly useful books. Check them out.
Sister Donna discusses St. Theresa of Avila's teachings.
Father Robert Barron on the Lord's Prayer. He, also, has written a number of really useful books on key topics for those seeking spiritual transformation and the fullness of divine adoption. Check them out.
Of course, there's a ton more where all that came from, a ton more resources. The key is this: prayer is letting God in and allowing ourselves to be set right in relationship with him, with the world, with our neighbor, and ourselves. All becomes aligned in prayer, and from prayer flows infinitely fruitful action. Even failures and sufferings, when brought to God as sacrifices in prayer and united to the Eucharistic sacrifice in the Mass, become infinitely fruitful for the permeation of all things with the life and love of God.
